Are you looking for a way to deepen your faith and connect with others? Joining a Connect Group an opportunity to grow in faith in a small group setting. 


Connect Groups meet weekly for a six-week study of Resilient Faith, starting October 7.

RESILIENT FAITH: What happens when faith is not easy? How do we respond when life shakes the foundation of our faith? Based on 1 Peter, Resilient Faith helps us learn how to stand strong in our faith despite the challenges and suffering in life. Topics include:

  • Focused Faith
  • Active Faith
  • Enduring Faith
  • Ready Faith
  • Joyful Faith
  • Victorious Faith

Author Mary Jo Sharp is a former atheist who thought faith was for the weak-minded. She is an Assistant Professor at Houston Baptist University, on faculty with Summit Ministries, and an author.

  • Pam Bowman & Rich Power

    GROUP MEETS: Sunday at 3 pm in Basking Ridge


    Meet Pam: Pam Bowman joined Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in 1998 when she and her husband, Barry, moved to The Hills. Her heart for God's mission has led her to wonderful adventures in Africa and China, and she has been privileged to serve on the Mission Team and the US boards of Ministry of Hope and The Outreach Foundation. She and Barry have two grown children and three grandchildren. 


    Meet Rich: Rich and his wife Sharon have been members of Liberty Corner Church for over 20 years and have raised two daughters, Kristen and Katie, at church. Rich is a Trustee at the church and serves on the Nominating Committee. Rich participates in Bible studies and has co-led a Connect Group for two years.

  • Jane Kolarik & Rev. Anne Havrilla*

    GROUP MEETS: Thursdays at 7 pm in Basking Ridge


    Jane Kolarik first began attending LCPC in 2004 at the invitation of her neighbor, and joined the church the following year. This will be the sixth time leading a Connect Group with Pastor Anne! She has a daughter, Hannah, who attends Gettysburg College. Jane serves as the Executive Director for Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church. She plays bridge regularly, enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with Shadow (her well-behaved Labradoodle), and doing lots of reading and cooking.

  • Joo & David Kang

    GROUP MEETS: Fridays at 7 pm in Basking Ridge


    David and Joo moved to Basking Ridge in 2010 and have been attending Liberty Corner Church since 2012. They have three children, Caroline and twin boys Lucas and Jacob. They also have two guinea pigs, Chunky and Theo. David works in digital marketing, and Joo works in corporate benefits administration. They have led various Connect Groups over the years and also helped with Liberty Corner Kids.  


  • Elizabeth & Stuart White

    GROUP MEETS: Fridays at 7:30 pm in Basking Ridge


    Elizabeth and Stuart White have two children, Katie and Nathan. The Whites are excited to run a Connect Group again and hope that others will also enjoy sharing interesting views, learning from others and the course material, and making new friends. The cakes and chat are a bonus!
