Stephen Ministry

stephen ministry training

Stephen Ministers are lay people extensively trained to bring Christian care through one-to-one, confidential relationships built on non-judgmental listening, comforting and faith.

We are looking for caring individuals who are being led to use their God-given gifts of listening, patience, and caring to help others. If you are being called, consider training to join the Stephen Ministry team who ‘Dare to Care’ through Compassion, Acceptance, Reassurance of God’s love, and Encouragement. Registration begins in September; class begins in January 2018.

Look for information tables after worship services on September 17 and 24 where you can talk to a Stephen Minister, and find out more about the training class, the application process, and the role and responsibilities of being a Stephen Minister.
