Giving Back

Take advantage of these opportunities to give back to the community through donations, talents, and time.

  • Spring Clean-Up

    April 28, 8 am - 12 pm

Please come and join the Trustees in preparing the church grounds for spring. There will be things to do for all ages and abilities; all are welcome. We will be pruning, weeding, and doing general clean-up, so bring along gardening tools and a pair of gloves! We will begin the morning at 8 am in Center Court with a light breakfast and plan to finish around noon. Volunteer a few hours or stay all morning. This is a great opportunity for service hours. For info or to sign up, contact Trish Rau.

  • YoungLives: Save Change. Change Lives

    Through April 29

YoungLives serves teen moms by modeling the unconditional love of Christ, empowering them to make positive choices, encouraging them to set and achieve goals and to live a future rooted in Christ.

We have the opportunity to support Plainfield Area YoungLives ministry! Pick up a special “changelope” coin box on Sunday, April 15 following worship (or contact the church office) and “save change to change lives.” Fill the coin box and return donations on Sunday, April 29.

  • Ziti for SHIP

    April 29 and May 6

Each year, Liberty Corner Church donates baked ziti to the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) to help provide meals to those in need in Somerset, South Bound Brook, Manville and Somerville.

You can help! Pick up a pan and an easy-to-follow recipe after worship on April 29. Make and freeze the ziti. Kindly label all trays with the date and mark "with" or "without meat". Please drop your frozen donations on Sunday, May 6 at the ziti truck parked near the Library entrance of the church before 11 am. Unfrozen ziti cannot be accepted. Please do not drop off donation prior to May 6.

Don't have time to shop? Monetary donations will also be accepted to purchase needed supplies. Please make checks out to "Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church" with "VBS Sports Camp" in the memo line. Thanks for your support! Questions? Contact Liberty Corner Kids Director Kelly Tancredi.

  • Special Needs Shadows

Liberty Corner Kids offers special needs children a safe, nurturing, and loving place to learn about Jesus. Children with special needs fully participate in the fun with assistance from our trained volunteer "shadows” who partner with a buddy to learn, play, and pray side-by-side. These shadows meet with special needs families before a child is assigned to a classroom so they can get to know one another and discuss the best accommodations. To meet our growing needs, we are looking for volunteers to serve as shadows. Training is available. For information, contact Kelly Tancredi.

  • Liberty Corner Kids Teachers & Assistants

Liberty Corner Kids is recruiting teachers and volunteers for the 2018-2019 school years. We need teachers and assistants for all ages, (position descriptions) as well as support people to help on Sunday mornings and special needs Shadows. Please prayerfully consider serving the children and families in our community! Questions? Contact Kelly Tancredi.

  • Worship Volunteers

Are you interested in leading or assisting with worship? We have opportunities available during both traditional and contemporary worship including up front and "behind the scenes".  If you are interested in volunteering with traditional worship, please contact Sharon Lawton. To help in contemporary worship, contact Bill Stauffer

  • Video/lighting technician

Do you have mad technical skills and would love to contribute to Contemporary Worship services in a behind-the-scenes leadership role? Have you ever wanted to play Wizard of Oz with our new LED lighting and make the visual side of our services pop? If so, we'd love to talk with you.
