  • Digital Communications Intern

    Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church (LCPC) is seeking a savvy digital media and social media intern to support our communications work. This internship offers valuable real-world experience in digital media outreach, digital photography, video editing and creative content management.


    The ideal candidate will possess—and have the opportunity to further develop—strong photography, video editing, and social media skills.


    This intern will work with the Communications Team to create and distribute content to help document and publicize LCPC’s programs and initiatives across various digital platforms.


    Qualifications

    Required

    • An active faith in Jesus Christ
    • Proficiency with online communications and design tools—including the Adobe Creative Suite or other comparable software
    • Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
    • Strong communication skills, including writing and grammar
    • Desire to learn

    Preferred

    • Experience in web design and content management
    • Interest in local church ministry
    • Candidate seeking a degree in communications, digital marketing, or other related fields

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Capture and edit digital media of church events and ministries
    • Creatively market content through social media platforms to build brand awareness
    • Utilize livestream technology
    • Design and produce creative content

    Schedule and Compensation:

    • 15 hours per week including Sunday morning responsibilities.
    • 10 weeks, to be scheduled June – August 2021. The exact timeframe is negotiable. 
    • Some of the work can be done remotely, but will also include live attendance at church events as directed by supervisor.
    • Competitive compensation.
    • To obtain course credit, candidate must be officially connected with a higher education institution that offers internship credit.

  • Substitute Teachers

    The Children's Corner (TCC) is a non-profit Learning Center under the charter of Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church (LCPC), serving children six weeks through five years, as well as, K-5th grade students in after school care. TCC is dedicated to meeting the spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of children in the community in a kind and loving Christian atmosphere. We strive to build each child's self-esteem while fostering respect for peers and adults. The school is licensed by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing and is a member of Christian Schools International. 


    TCC is currently recruiting talent for substitute teachers. 


    Variety of hours, Monday - Friday

    For children six weeks old - 5th grade

    No degree or certificate required. 


    Position Summary:

    The TCC Substitute is responsible for implementing TCC's program within the classroom or group to which he/she is assigned. The Substitute shall assist the classroom staff in implementing a structured classroom on an as-needed basis. The Substitute shall be responsible for aiding the childcare teacher in the implementation of the daily schedule and routine, supervising activities, and ensuring the safety, and supervision of children. 


    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Must be of good character and equipped by education, training, and experience to assist with the day-to-day classroom programs. 
    • Have a suitable temperament for work with children and possess qualities of warmth and friendliness. 
    • Be a professing Christian who will help integrate Christian principles, ideals, and standards within the classroom programs. 
    • Demonstrate dependable character and personal qualities as verified through interviews and reference checks. 
    • Prior experience with children preferred. 
    • Must have the ability to lift children who weigh as much as 35 pounds. 
    • Minimum requirement of high school diploma. Some continuing education units in Childcare or Early Childhood Education preferred. 
    • At least one year paid experience or proven performance in an Early Childhood setting.
