Greatness is carved into every person’s DNA. As you pray the Ascend prayers each day, are you thinking more about your calling? You may be unsure about your calling, or you may think that your failures have disqualified you from God’s plan. King David was a world-renowned ruler—hand-picked by God Himself—yet he made many mistakes. Still, this man understood his divine call to greatness, and you can too.

I Am David: 10 Lessons in Greatness from Israel’s Most Famous King, by Jimmy Evans, will help you learn to:

    • Recognize God's calling on your life
    • Discover the stepping stones to greatness
    • Avoid detours and distractions
    • Redirect your path after mistakes
    • Help others discover their divine callings

Greatness is not being perfect. It’s being willing to use your gifts for God.

The book includes several thought provoking questions for each of the 10 lessons. In preparation for our discussions each week, we’ll read two chapters and the corresponding questions, coming prepared to discuss them. There isn’t any written homework. We will meet via zoom and conduct the discussions in small zoom groups.

If you would like to participate and purchase a book, please email Sharon Szabo.
