You are invited to participate in a five-week study to read and discuss the book Called to Forgive by Rev. Anthony B. Thompson, whose wife, Myra, was gunned down with eight others as they prayed during a Bible study at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC in June of 2015. Myra’s murder devastated Rev. Thompson, yet he chose to privately and publicly forgive the shooter. His path to healing and peace is a witness to the power of forgiveness and how it can transform our lives for good.
The book includes thought-provoking questions for each of the 10 chapters. We will meet via Zoom and conduct the discussions in small zoom groups.
If you would like to participate and reserve a book, please email Sharon Szabo. The church will provide the book at no charge. Registration will be open until Thursday, September 17.
