Catalyst Team

Members of the Catalyst Team were approved by the Session at their meeting on September 10. The Catalyst Team will be working together with The Center to prepare a three-year, priority-based strategic Action Plan for Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church. 

Catalyst Team members include: 

  • Steve Allen

    Steve is a long-time member of LCPC. He has a background in finance, and is retired.  Steve has served as an Elder and Deacon, and is currently on the Audit Committee. 


    Steve and his wife Jane lead a weekly Bible study at LCPC. They reside in Basking Ridge and have two grown children, Laura and Ted.

  • Elizabeth Barickman

    Elizabeth has been attending LCPC for about 10 years, where she currently serves as an Elder, and has been involved in Women’s Ministry, studentLIFE, and Hearts For Honduras. She is a part-time grant writer for America’s Grow-a-Row, a hunger relief organization. Elizabeth has been married to Mark for 30 years, and they have two children, Matt, a graduate student in St. Louis, and Anna, a college freshman at George Washington University. She enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, baking, and playing with her dog, Scout.

  • Kevin Liguori

    Kevin Liguori was baptized and grew up in Liberty Corner Church. He accepted Christ on his first junior high retreat in sixth grade. Kevin’s faith was hugely impacted by attending the senior high student ministry, which led to him becoming involved as a Younglife leader when he attended Lycoming College. Upon returning to the area in 2003, Kevin became an adult leader for LCPC’s studentLIFE ministry. He also plays guitar and sings on Worship Team. Kevin lives in Basking Ridge, where he owns and operates a residential building and remodeling company, and enjoys spending time with his wife Lindsay, daughters Kayley and Ashley. 


  • Judi Logan

    Judi Logan has a long history with LCPC, starting in childhood. After more than 40 years in the Midwest, Judi returned to Basking Ridge and her beloved church home. Since then she has been active in the Hospitality ministries and many Bible studies, has served on the Deacon Board and is currently a Trustee. 

    A children’s author, Judi also spent many years implementing mental health programs for youth and adults in Wisconsin. She has four children and 15 grandchildren, and loves ‘playing’ with art and music. 

    Judi feels blessed to be part of the LCPC family and humbled to be a part of the Catalyst Team. “I would love to find ways to help others become connected and find joy and peace in community with us.” 

  • Katherine Ma

    Katherine Ma has been a member of Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church for about seven years, where she serves as a Stephen Minister and has recently been commissioned as a Stephen Leader. She also participates in the Women's Bible Study group. 

    Katherine has one son, who lives and works near Chicago as a Chemical Engineer. Currently, Katherine serves as a volunteer EMT with the Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 and on the board of the Good News Home For Women. Prior to that, Katherine practiced as a corporate counsel for over twenty years, most recently with Honeywell International Inc., based in Morris Plains, NJ. She plans on going back to school for social work focusing on family counseling as a second career. In her spare time, Katherine enjoys leading hikes and camping trips in North Jersey. She also enjoys traveling, the theater, singing, dancing, and playing board games.

  • Maria Novak

    Maria and her husband, John, along with their two children Luke (3rd) and Grace (1st) moved to Basking Ridge in the summer of 2015. They have attended LCPC for over three years. You may have seen them serving as a family as greeters during the Contemporary Service. Maria has years of experience as a lay leader in previous ministries in areas such as worship, prayer, Bible studies, and student ministry. Most recently, she joined the Vision Team for the Hearts For Honduras School in July 2017. Previously a member of the management team for a global commercial real estate company, she currently works as an independent consultant. In addition to spending time with her family, Maria enjoys running, reading, cooking, and the occasional Hallmark Christmas movie. 

  • Rich Power

    Rich Power has been an active participant at LCPC for 21 years and a member since 2008. He is currently completing his sixth year as a member of the Board of Trustees of LCPC the last three during which he served as Secretary. Prior to that he served six years on Endowment of which three were as Chair.


    Rich enjoys serving others. In 2015 he started a prayer chain for clients of the food bank at Freedom Ministries. When he is able Rich likes to serve an overnight shift at Interfaith Hospitality Network. He made two trips to Hearts For Honduras and served at the eye clinic. He initiated and led “A Time for Service,” which was a small group for families with children devoted to performing acts of service for others in our community. He has worked on projects at world Impact, Habitat for Humanity, and New City Kids. Rich and his wife Sharon have led Connect Groups for the past three years. 

    Rich and his wife are empty nesters. They have two daughters: Kristen lives in San Francisco and Katie lives in Pittsburgh.  

  • Carolyn Stewart

    Carolyn and her husband Andy arrived in New Jersey in 1994 by way of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Marshfield, Massachusetts. They have two married children and four special grandchildren who reside in Basking Ridge. Carolyn is a retired RN with a specialty in ICU nursing. Her occupation led her to participate in several caring ministries: The Caring Cabinet, CareNet, and she instituted the Parish Nursing Program at our church. Currently Carolyn is working with the Malawi Visions Team, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and is a member of the Nominating Team. She attends the weekly Wednesday night Bible study, TraVersing the Bible. Carolyn is so grateful to be a member of such a now vibrant church!


  • Corey Strickland

    Corey Strickland started attending Liberty Corner in 2006, officially becoming a member in November 2014. He plays gathering music at the traditional service, helps with Give Love Away projects, and is a Stephen Minister.  

    Corey and his wife Pam have two wonderful girls, Samantha (14 years) and Jacqueline (12 years), who keep life adventurous. He is a director of Structural Sciences at Merck, where he uses atomic resolution microscopy to help in drug discovery and development. He relaxes by playing piano, watching NASCAR races, wood working, and reading science fiction.

  • Brian Wallace

    Brian has been a member of LCPC since 1997 and has been attending since 1990. Brian has volunteered with studentLIFE and hosted a Connect Group. He is passionate about helping our church family reach a younger demographic to build a community that lives life together. 

    Brian is a Chiropractor in Bernardsville. He and his wife Kristen have been married nine years. They have two children Grace (4) and Alex (2). In his spare time, Brian enjoys golf, ice hockey, surfing, and spearfishing.
