Pastor Nominating Committee

Members of the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) were nominated and approved
by the congregation during the congregational meeting on Sunday, July 15, 2018.

  • David has been attending LCPC for over 20 years with his wife, Shona, and children, Struan, Gillian, and Calum. He is an ordained Elder who served on Session several years ago. You can find him behind at the soundboard at 9:15 am services every month, and occasionally he leads prayers as a lay leader.

David is a Managing Director at KPMG, responsible for the firm's alliance strategy and operations, and manages their Intelligent Automation alliances.

  • Sharon and her husband, Rich, have been active members of LCPC for more than 25 years. Their two daughters, Christine and Kimmy, grew up in the church and were baptized and confirmed here. Sharon has been involved in many aspects of Children’s Ministry (VBS, Sunday School, Sports Camp) and Worship Arts (bell choir). She especially loves assisting in the combination of Children and Worship Arts: youth choirs from 4-year-olds through high school; bell choirs for third grade through high school, and C.A.M.P. (Christian Acting and Musical Project)—a summer musical theatre camp held at LCPC for 15 years. She has been the Sunday morning Worship Coordinator for about 14 years.

Sharon loves reading, being outside, and eating dark chocolate! She recently retired from teaching preschool and is looking around for her next career!

  • Don lives in North Plainfield with his wife Virginia, and have been members of LCPC for more than 14 years, enjoying many learning and serving opportunities. Their daughters, Sarah and Elizabeth, visit often from Providence, RI and Woodcliff Lake, NJ, respectively.

Don has served on a previous Pastor Nominating Committee, as well as Session, Stewardship Team, Hospitality Team, communion server, prayer partner, and SHARE. When not working in the local government Engineering Department in Princeton, Don enjoys the Jersey Shore, running, yard work, and occasional golf outings.

  • Jim and his wife Debbie have been worshipping at Liberty Corner Church for about eight years. Jim is a psychologist and counselor in private practice, with offices in Union and Hunterdon Counties.

At LCPC, he has taught Stephen Ministers and presented seminars for the church and community here. He has been a consultant and frequent speaker for various churches and denominations for many years. Jim is a former Associate Pastor and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Biblical Theological Seminary. His greatest joy is being relational, and he also enjoys playing guitar, hiking, biking, and kayaking.

  • Peggy has been a member of LCPC since 2004. During this time, she has served on the Hospitality Team, as a Prayer Partner, communion assistant, Deacon, and is currently volunteering on staff as Business Administrator.

Prior to retiring, Peggy was in project management at Telcordia. She has two sons, both of whom are married and live in Costa Rica and Kenya, respectively. Peggy has eight grandchildren; four adopted and four biological. Since her husband's death in 2014, two grandsons have moved in with her. Peggy enjoys cooking, baking, sewing, and reading, and finds great joy in the relationships that have been built at Liberty Corner Church.

  • Pam started attending Liberty Corner in 2006, officially becoming a member November 2014. She has enjoyed small group bible studies, playing cello in worship, helping in Sunday School, and is currently serving on Session. She is especially thankful for the opportunity to fellowship with and to serve God’s family at LCPC. She has led many Bible studies and served as elder in previous churches.

She and her husband Corey have two daughters, Samantha and Jacqueline, who keep life adventurous. Pam is Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Rutgers School of Public Health. She relaxes by playing cello, creating art with her daughters, quilting and watching the antics of her little, white fluffy dog.

  • Sharon has been a member of LCPC since 1996. Over the years, she has served on Presbyterian Women, the Board of Deacons, and as Chair of the Nominating Committee. Currently, Sharon is an usher in Center Court, a Sunday morning prayer partner, and co-leader of the Thursday morning Women’s Bible study. She also enjoys volunteering for Interfaith Hospitality Network, Vacation Bible School and Connect Groups.

In her retirement, Sharon feels blessed to be able to spend more time in service to our Lord and in the study of his word, which has strengthened her faith walk and gratitude. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, sewing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Sharon and her husband, Ken, live in Bridgewater and have two grown daughters, Diane and Emily.
