Re:generation Ministry Intern

Re:generation is a Christ-centered, disciple-making ministry in men-only and women-only closed groups. Focused on God, this 12-step model leads to personal restoration and activation in the call of discipleship.  By working through biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from all sorts of personal struggles.

Purpose
  • Gain valuable care / counseling ministry experience by assisting in outreach and spiritual formation of the participants for Re:generation a Christian 12-step recovery ministry.
  • Be mentored by and accountable to the Directors of the Ministry and will be supervised by the senior pastor.
  • Be submerged in the life of the congregation in order to learn about the integration of Re:generation ministry with congregational life.
  • Discover the relationship as the ministry team member and intern with staff, church and community leaders, and the congregation as a whole.

Duration and Time Commitment
  • Average 10 hours/week, 6-9 months duration, paid position.
  • One (1) ministry internship position available.

Qualifications
  • Have a vibrant and growing relationship with Christ and a passion for ministry to people who have hurts, hang-ups and habits that keep them from thriving.
  • Be teachable, humble, and have a servant’s heart.
  • Be an example to others in Christian character and integrity.
  • Be a self-starter as well as a team player.
  • Possess gifts for ministry, such as teaching, leadership, compassion, administration, or music.
  • Must be at least a sophomore in college, preferably a junior or older, and/or be involved in a relevant field of study.
  • Must provide own transportation to/from the church, must have access to computer and wifi.
  • Must adhere to our church’s policy for engaging in ministry, including completing the Re:generation Leaders’ Training online or in person and passing a background check.

Job Description
  • Fully participate in both  in person and Thursday night via Zoom ministry nights to help run the Re:generation Ministry as well as some preparation work ahead of time.
  • Small Group Leader Meeting/Dinner Set up.
  • Large Group Set-up.
  • Step Group Room Set-up.
  • Welcome Station Setup and book and T-shirt sales after the ministry night on Mondays.
  • Groundwork Group Setup.
  • Be willing to assist to co-lead a short welcome group called Groundwork and work together with your group leaders. Be willing to co-lead a Step group if applicable. Be willing to reach out and engage group participants as needed.
  • Meet with Re: generation Directors and Planning Team regularly for mentoring and planning.
  • Ask questions, be creative, offer and implement your ideas, seek servant-leadership opportunities, take risks, learn, and see God work through you to make an impact on others.
  • Other duties as directed.

Stipend and Benefits
$300 / month stipend for six to nine months or the duration of the internship.

Substitute Teacher

The Children's Corner School

The Children's Corner (TCC) is a non-profit Learning Center under the charter of Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church (LCPC), serving children six weeks through five years, as well as, K-5th grade students in after school care. TCC is dedicated to meeting the spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of children in the community in a kind and loving Christian atmosphere. We strive to build each child's self-esteem while fostering respect for peers and adults. The school is licensed by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing and is a member of Christian Schools International.

TCC is currently recruiting talent for substitute teachers.

  • Variety of hours, Monday - Friday
  • For children six weeks old - 5th grade
  • No degree or certificate required.

Position Summary
The TCC Substitute is responsible for implementing TCC's program within the classroom or group to which he/she is assigned. The Substitute shall assist the classroom staff in implementing a structured classroom on an as-needed basis. The Substitute shall be responsible for aiding the childcare teacher in the implementation of the daily schedule and routine, supervising activities, and ensuring the safety, and supervision of children. 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must be of good character and equipped by education, training, and experience to assist with the day-to-day classroom programs.
  • Have a suitable temperament for work with children and possess qualities of warmth and friendliness.
  • Be a professing Christian who will help integrate Christian principles, ideals, and standards within the classroom programs.
  • Demonstrate dependable character and personal qualities as verified through interviews and reference checks.
  • Prior experience with children preferred.
  • Must have the ability to lift children who weigh as much as 35 pounds.
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma. Some continuing education units in Childcare or Early Childhood Education preferred. 
  • At least one year paid experience or proven performance in an Early Childhood setting.
