Opera Magnifico presents the most talked about wedding of the year in Gaetano Donizetti's haunting and icy tragedy Lucia di Lammermoor. With their hallmark magnificent singing, Opera Magnifico brings this dramatic and thrilling opera to life, featuring a chamber orchestra of lively string players and their first production with woodwinds.  

Lucia di Lammermoor is a tragic opera set in Scotland and based on Sir Walter Scott's The Bride of Lammermoor.  The story follows Lucia Ashton, a young woman caught in a bitter feud between her family and the Ravenswoods. She is secretly in love with Edgardo Ravenswood, the last of his family, but their relationship is doomed by political and familial enmity.
