Parenting the Love and Logic Way ® Training Course

Family Ministries is offering the Parenting the Love and Logic Way ® training course beginning January 7, 2024.

The series is for parents of children age 10-18 years old and will meet on Sunday from 10:30-11:45 am in the Amos Room from January 7 through February 18. The first class will provide an overview of the series, as well as an outline for creating Christian family habits based on a solid understanding of the Gospel and prayer.

The Parenting the Love and Logic Way® curriculum was developed by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, Ph.D., and Foster W. Cline, M.D. of the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., in Golden, Colorado. Emi Sprinkle is an Independent Facilitator of the Parenting the Love and Logic Way® curriculum.

Topics will include:
  • Putting an End to Arguing, Back-Talk, and Begging
  • Teaching Responsibility without Losing their Love
  • Setting Limits without Waging War
  • Avoid Power Struggles
  • Guiding Kids to Own and Solve their Problems
  • Teaching Kids to Complete Chores without Reminders and without Pay

Registration is required and the course fee is $15 to cover the book. Class will be limited to 15 families.

Children & Youth

Parents are encouraged to register their child(ren) in Liberty Corner Kids (up to grade 5) or in Salt & Light (6th-12th grade), if they are not already registered. Liberty Corner Kids and Salt & Light will meet concurrently with the parenting series and provide a learning opportunity for your child while you attend class.

Meet the Facilitators

Emi Sprinkle

Emi Sprinkle is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC, MPA). She offers online and in person counseling services and educational programs benefiting the family and the individual. She's taught parenting classes for over a decade and has served as an independent facilitator for the Parenting the Love and Logic Way ® training course since 2013. She is the mother of three children ages 10, 16 and 19.

Pam Strickland

Pam Strickland is mother of two wonderful girls, 17 and 20. As faculty at Rutgers School of Public Health (PhD in statistics), she has taught and mentored students for over 20 years, coaching young adults in study skills, managing time and learning difficulties, mapping goals, as well as navigating stressors, failures, and accomplishments. She also works with teams promoting kindergarten readiness to preschool children through adaptation and evaluation of Reach Out and Read, a national pediatric literacy model endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Luisa De La Cruz

Luisa De La Cruz has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has worked as an accountant for Barnes & Noble Education for the last ten years. She was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the States in 2007. She has two sons Nicolas (13) and Rafael (10), loves to cook, and travel around the world.
